Grand House

We photographed this spellbinding location on wet and gloomy January day, yet in spite of the achingly moody skies, the house was picturesque, radiating warmth and joy. Decorated in a vibrant palette of bold colours and layered with pattern, each room is framed with elaborate architectural detailing and reassuringly weighty arch shaped oak doors which pay homage to the framework of this very welcoming castle. A sweeping staircase leads upstairs setting a dramatic tone.

Set in parkland complete with an enormous pond and surrounded by Sussex countryside, the landscape is expansive and magical. Within the grounds a thriving walled garden has been transformed as part of a re-wilding project, and forms an enticing and unique backdrop through-out the seasons.
